The vacancy
Do you want to work on custom-made structures that will ultimately be installed on board the most exclusive superyachts in the world? As a Welder at Van Driel, you will work on high-quality products such as hatches, cranes, doors, and other technical structures.
No project is the same. Every structure is specially designed for a yacht and requires craftsmanship, precision, and a high-quality finish. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that every product is delivered strong, dimensionally stable, and ready for further assembly.
What are you going to do?
As a Welder, you assemble, weld, and finish parts and structures for our yacht equipment. You work from technical drawings and bills of materials, and are responsible for tacking, final welding, grinding, and finishing a variety of structures. In doing so, you continuously check the dimensions, fit, and quality of your own work.
You work with steel, aluminum, and where necessary, stainless steel. You also regularly consult with engineering, work preparation, and colleagues in the workshop to ensure that every product is delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule. Due to the size of our products, you regularly work in various welding positions and around larger structures.
Which products are you working on?
You work on a wide range of custom solutions for luxury and superyachts, including cranes, hull and deck hatches, shell doors, telescoping systems, platforms, and other moving structures. Van Driel combines craftsmanship, customisation, and a high-quality finish that perfectly aligns with the yacht's design.
What are you bringing?
You have experience as a welder, fitter, or fabricator and can read technical drawings well. You work accurately, have an eye for dimensions and finish, and feel at home working with steel, aluminum, and MIG/MAG or TIG welding processes. You can work both independently and in a team, and you think practically when a solution is needed.
Experience in yacht building, mechanical engineering, the metal industry, or high-end construction is a plus. If you don't have all the experience yet, but you do have a good technical foundation and the right attitude, experienced colleagues will be happy to help you develop further.
What do we offer you?
