From design to working system
In the world of superyachts, everything has to be right. Every detail is custom-made. Every component is high-end. Everything is meticulously designed.
But a complex project remains in motion. Space changes. Requirements are tightened. Interfaces shift. Precisely then, a partner is needed who looks beyond the drawing.
Van Driel does not just build what has been devised. We ensure that it works. We bring motion, construction, propulsion, control, and finish together in a single solution. Practical during construction. Reliable on board. Maintainable for the future.
Safety, continuity, and sustainable quality form the foundation of every collaboration. That is why we do not just aim for a well-functioning delivery, but for robust equipment that continues to perform reliably throughout its entire life cycle.
Generations of craftsmanship. One constant standard.
For more than four decades, Van Driel has been working for builders of large and exclusive yachts. The projects became more complex. The systems more advanced. Our approach remained clear: understand what the equipment needs to do, identify risks early on, and deliver what works on board.

1986
First tap
Van Driel develops and builds the first crane. The crane is designed and produced entirely in-house.

From the eighties
Focus on superyachts
The expertise is shifting towards custom deck equipment for increasingly larger and more complex superyachts. Van Driel is expanding its specialization in this area.

1992
Growth in Nieuw-Vennep
Van Driel continues to develop from Nieuw-Vennep and is moving into the new workshop on the Gersteweg for this purpose

2017
Expansion of production capacity in Gieten
Van Driel will also start producing hatches. A next step in capacity, specialization, and a broader range of products.
