The vacancy
Do you enjoy working with your hands and do you get energy from high-quality technology? As an In-house Assembly Technician at Van Driel, you will help build cranes, hatches, masts and other custom solutions for luxury and superyachts in our workshop.
No installation is the same. Every commission is specially designed for a yacht and requires craftsmanship, accuracy and an eye for detail. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that every installation is built to technical perfection and is ready for onboard assembly.
What are you going to do?
As an In-house Assembly Technician, you assemble and build our yacht equipment in the workshop. You assemble mechanical and hydraulic parts, install components such as cylinders, bearings, cables, and drives, and connect hydraulic and electrical components. You also adjust installations, test them, and verify that everything functions perfectly.
You work from technical drawings and parts lists and consult regularly with engineers, work preparation, and fellow technicians. Together, you ensure that every installation meets the high quality standards of Van Driel and the international superyacht industry.
Which products are you working on?
You work on a wide range of custom solutions for luxury and superyachts, including cranes, hull and deck hatches, shell doors, telescoping navigation masts, tender poles, platforms, and other moving systems. Van Driel combines engineering, customization, and a high-quality finish that perfectly matches the yacht's design.
What are you bringing?
You have a vocational education (mbo) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, metal technology, or a similar technical field. You have experience with assembly work or would like to learn this trade, and you are interested in mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical engineering. You work accurately, think practically, and have an eye for quality and finish. In addition, you can work both independently and in a team, and you have a good command of the Dutch language.
Experience in shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, the metal industry, or assembly is a plus. If you do not have all the experience yet, but you do have a good technical foundation and the right attitude, our experienced technicians will be happy to teach you the trade in practice.

Salary from € 2,800 to € 4,000 gross per month
